We had to take our daughter over to Sheffield last night for a New Year's Eve party so decided to bring in the New Year in Castleton and then have an early morning walk before collecting her. When we woke up it was pouring with rain so decided to head home sooner, we grabbed a cache for the day in Hope on the way to Sheffield and then on the way back it started to sleet then snow so when we arrived home we didn't hold out much hope of a walk. We'd only been home about half an hour and the weather started to brighten up so we grabbed our caching bags and headed back out the door.
We headed back to Tockholes to bag a few more of the LEGEND caches on the Witton Weavers Way - this is getting addictive
Incidentally, after looking at our stats for a Year in Review blog we saw that we found more caches in the month of December than any of the other months in 2016 - this is down to the quality of the caches that we've found and the walks being in such great areas and all pretty much a stone's throw from home.

Anyway today we walked 5 miles at Roddlesworth Reservoir.
Last year I completed the Country Walking Magazine Walk 1000 miles challenge and clocked up over 1500 miles of walking over 2016.
I'll be doing the challenge again this year and hope to do 2000 if I can. I got off to a good start today and managed 5 miles. If you're interested in doing the challenge you can sign up
here.
